CASINO ROYALE 2019

The Left Bank Casino Royale Event

The Left Bank team is excited to announce that $4,740 has been donated to the charity Conquer Cystic Fibrosis (CCF) as a result of its fourth Casino Royale event, which was held on Friday 9th August 2019.

Now in its fourth year, Casino Royale is The Left Bank’s annual charity event to help raise funds for CCF. For one night only, the upper floor of the venue turns into casino – guests walk along the red carpet in their best suit/cocktail dress, indulge in delicious cocktail food and drinks and enjoy live jazz music, all while gambling for a good cause.

We were excited to have live music by Shahirah JAZZ and her band again this year, followed by DJ Marcel who provided the right tunes to get the dance floor going. James Diamond Magic added some magical entertainment to the event with his range of tricks! Local artist Linzi Carter Art had her creative space set up on the balcony, creating a beautiful painting of boats at Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour within only a few hours.

Our silent auction and raffle, with various prizes donated by sponsors, were an opportunity to grab a bargain while donating to charity. The highlight of the night though were the gambling tables by Viva Vegas. Guests were able to play on our funny money tables (Roulette and Black Jack) with Left Bank Dollars that they received at the beginning of the night and our real money tables (Poker, Black Jack and Dice), where all losses from the tables were actually donations to CCF. So when the dice didn’t roll your way or your deck of cards wasn’t any good, you knew that you were supporting a good cause…

The Left Bank would like to thank all guests that joined the event and in particular all the sponsors and supporters that helped make this night possible!

About the Charity

Cystic Fibrosis (CF) primarily affects the lungs and digestive system. People with CF develop an abnormal amount of excessively thick and sticky mucus within the lungs, airways and the digestive system. Lung failure is the major cause of death for someone with CF. Sadly there is still no cure for Cystic Fibrosis. As a 100% volunteer run organisation with no salary or administration costs CCF are able to channel every cent of the money raised to life-saving research and services.

History – About Casino Royale

In 2016, we hosted the first Casino Royale – which turned out to be a great success. The upstairs River Bar turned into a Casino, with a range of gambling tables (Poker, Roulette, Black Jack and more). Together with live jazz music, delicious cocktail food and oysters being brought around and unlimited champagne available, it was a fancy evening that all guests in their suits and dresses enjoyed.

The background behind the event was to support the charity Conquer Cystic Fibrosis, of which The Left Bank’s owner has been a long time supporter. At the end of the night, $1,000 was collected from the gambling tables, which was donated to CCF. Since then, Casino Royale has become an annual event of The Left Bank. In 2018, the event managed to raise $3,000 for Conquer Cystic Fibrosis.
